In a sit-down with the Des Moines Register editorial board, Texas Gov. Rick Perry struggled for six seconds to recall the name of Justice Sonia Sotomayor, before finally calling her “Motomayor.” He also got the number of Supreme Court Justices wrong:
“I trust those independent school districts to make those decisions better than eight unelected and frankly unaccountable judges,” Perry said in discussing school prayer.
It’s remarkably reminiscent of Herman Cain’s infamous discussion of Libya with the good folks at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (“got all this stuff twirling around in my head”).
We’re wondering: How long before the candidates stop allowing editorial boards to tape these interviews?
You are dumb. You are really, really dumb.
loooooooooool
OH MY GOD I’M CRYING. MOTOMAYER. MOTOMAYER.
[emphasis mine, because HOLY SHIT THAT’S PERFECT]
Rick Perry is Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush in Josh Brolin’s George W. Bush’s body.
Is this a bit? This is a bit, right?
Oh, this. THIS IS FANTASTIC.
As a former Marine S/O all I can read this as is MOTO-MAYORRRRR!

Justice Motomayor is one of the eight Supremes. Rick Perry is a fucking genius.
